Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
I've always been a bargain hunter. Nat and I were raised by a woman who loves Marshalls & T.J. Maxx more than any designer store. So, I'm a trained professional when it comes to finding "diamonds in the rough". Needless to say, I get pretty excited when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale happens. The thing is, this isn't really a "diamond in the rough" type of sale, which kind of flies in the face of my preconceived notions of what a retail SALE is. I'm used to stocking up on discounted items at the END of the season and then having to wait a full year to actually wear them (t-r-a-g-i-c). With their Anniversary Sale, Nordstrom has managed to host a major sale that includes pre-fall merchandise (right smack in the middle of the summer). The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale gives us, shoppers, the opportunity to introduce some of the upcoming Fall trends into our wardrobe for a discounted price (before the season even starts)! This concept of buy now (for less), wear now (& later) brought to us by Nordstrom is legitimately AWESOME... in my humble, millennial, shop-oholic opinion...
ANYWAY, I've rounded up the items that I am buying from the sale (below). I fell in love with the outfit (pictured) — the oversized graphic t-shirt paired with the metallic orange faux leather skirt is a winning combo. I was also really freaking happy to find a few silver boots in the sale. "Silver everything" is one of my favorite trends from the upcoming season... note to self — you'll be seeing a lot of metallics in the Fall, so get it now — for less. Yesh.
