Silver Streak

I'm going through a bit of a silver streak.... silver hair, silver shoes, silver jewelry, and pictured here – a silver skirt. When I saw silver headlining in this Fall's fashion trends reports, I had a mini freak out session. I have been thinking about why I am so excited about the silver trend and came to this inconclusive thought:

I love grey. I live in grey clothing. I have grey-ish blue green eyes (but really, they're just grey). Grey is essentially a non-metallic silver. Therefore, silver is grey (according to my logic).

So if you're reading this and nodding in agreement because you are a grey lover as well – here is why silver is your color this season!

Grey is safe. Silver is safe and fun. It's edgy without being loud. Silver looks expensive and elevates any outfit (see examples here, here, and here) and is an easy trend to pull from the runway to the street. Oh, and silver definitely pairs well with your grey tees and sweatpants! Take a look at the pieces I am loving now.
