Portofino
Portofino is a place that only exists in dreams.... until you see it for yourself. Even as I sit here (in distressed jeans on my small couch in Dallas) and recap the days spent in Portofino, it still feels like it was a dream. Portofino is a fishing village situated on the Italian Riviera coastline in the Province of Genoa. Getting to Portofino is interesting. You will pass many picturesque beaches, pastel colored houses, and seaside towns that look straight out of one of Gray Malin's pieces. Just when you think nothing can top the views you're passing, you will enter the exclusive and breathtaking city of Portofino (meaning: port of the dolphins). If you're staying at Belmond's Hotel Splendido, your driver will start his ascent up a one way street until he reaches paradise (aka Hotel Splendido). Once you reach your destination, wherever it might be, you will never want to leave. This place will quite literally take your breath away....
